Mute Swans on Stony Lake

Over Memorial Day weekend,
Auntie Bee and I made a trek over to
the west side of Michigan to Stony Lake (north of Muskegon) to spend the weekend with our friend, Jan.

The weather was perfect, not too hot..not too cold, and a family of mute swans frequented her dock feasting of the weeds of the lake!

I was even able to quietly tiptoe out onto the dock a few times and get rather close! Only once did one of the parents hiss at me warning me to back off!

But yet another time, one was preening with the goslings nearby and never even noticed me!

Looks like they're playing follow the leader! Bye bye!
